Young Artists: Ages 14-18
Asolo Rep Young Artist Series (YAS) provides technique-based trainings, unique classes and workshops, and volunteer opportunities for 14-18-year-old theatre makers. These experiences aim to bring young artists to the next level while giving them the opportunity to learn with professional artists.
Theatre for Social Change Overnight Intensive at Eckerd College
Explore how theatre amplifies voices, expresses passions, and highlights topics that matter to our community.
Asolo Repertory Theatre is thrilled to partner with Eckerd College (St. Petersburg, FL) to launch a new pre-college program in summer 2022. Blending the strengths of our institutions, Theatre for Social Change offers tools that allow students to experience social-emotional learning and creative problem solving.
In this dynamic intensive, Young Artists will work with professional theatre artists to devise stories in order to affect social change – adapting familiar tales into epics of today. This week of creating, collaborating, and connecting challenges participants to use what is important to them in order to grow works of art and plant seeds of change.
