Young Artists: Ages 14-18

Asolo Rep Young Artist Series (YAS) provides technique-based trainings, unique classes and workshops, and volunteer opportunities for 14-18-year-old theatre makers. These experiences aim to bring young artists to the next level while giving them the opportunity to learn with professional artists.

2023 Workshops & Intensives

Spring Break Intensive: Adapting for Today

Dates: March 13-17

Day and Time: 6pm-8pm

Where: Asolo Rep Annex, 5333 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL, 34243

Cost: $150

Amplify your voice as you dissect classic stories, making them fun and accessible for today's world. In this class, young artists dive into different texts (plays, folk tales, short stories) and learn methods of exploding each narrative and putting it back together in exciting and modern ways. Performers, playwrights, designers, and all---make the classics your own!

Summer Intensive: Theatre for Social Change @ Eckerd College

Dates: June 18-23

Join us on an exploration of advocacy, activism, and social change through theatre.

Blending the strengths of Eckerd College and Asolo Repertory Theatre this program challenges students to be storytellers of the change they wish to see in the world.

This summer program is ideal for rising 10th through 12th grade students interested in producing and performance, community building, activism and social change, story adaptation, and the creative process.

Cancellation and Withdrawal Policy

Cancellations

Asolo Rep reserves the right to alter or cancel programs as necessary. If a program is cancelled by Asolo Rep, participants will receive a tuition refund in full.

Withdrawals

All withdrawal requests must be sent in writing to education@asolorep.org
If a participant withdraws from a class before the second day of class, the registration cost is refunded, less a $25 administrative fee.
Due to the resource scheduling and commitments required to provide the programs, no refunds are given after the second day of class.
