STAGING OUR FUTURE
Staging Our Future is Asolo Rep’s strategic plan for growth over the next five years. Building our capacity to produce world-class theatre is at the heart of our plan. Expanding our production facilities and modernizing our stage systems are key building blocks for our success, along with investments in new programmatic and administrative spaces.
We’ve acquired new properties and invested in production upgrades, made possible with lead gifts from generous donors who believe passionately in our vision for the future.
Over the 18/19 season, we’ll unveil more of our vision for these capital projects, and an exciting array of naming opportunities. We need you, our loyal patrons and donors, to be part of Staging Our Future, to secure our legacy for generations to come.

Through the Staging Our Future Capital Campaign, co-chaired by Larry and Debbie Haspel, Asolo Rep will:
- Fulfill the vision for the Robert and Beverly Koski Production Center Campus. With a major gift from Beverly Koski, Asolo Rep has acquired properties next door to our current facility, in order to create a state-of-the-art production center. Here the country’s top theatrical artists will create the large-scale musical and dramatic works that Asolo Rep has become known for nationally. We are grateful for a generous gift towards renovations from the Muriel O’Neil Fund of Community Foundation of Sarasota County.
- Unlock the potential of the Herman and Sharon Frankel Asolo Rep Annex. This new property at the foot of our home campus, made possible by Herman and Sharon Frankel, will feature a multi-purpose, open plan meeting space, creating a hub for creative collaborations and activities. Prominent new signage, made possible by Carole Crosby, will improve our visibility to Sarasota’s ever-increasing population of residents and seasonal visitors.
- Invest in upgrades in our home venue’s theatres, and public programming and administrative spaces. The Muriel O’Neil Fund of Community Foundation of Sarasota County Sound System, now installed in the Mertz Theatre, will enhance our audience’s experience for seasons to come. Many other exciting venue enhancements are envisioned, to better serve our growing audience and our community.
