Fulfill Your Foundation’s Mission with a Grant to Asolo Rep
For over a half a century, grants from local and national foundations of all sizes have played a critical role in the support of Asolo Rep. Foundation gifts ensure that Asolo Rep is able to continue their time honored legacy of outstanding artistic excellence, bringing both national and international recognition to the theatre and Sarasota. Sponsoring Asolo Rep’s season productions and capital improvements will reflect your foundation’s commitment to the arts and build our community’s reputation as the “arts capital” of Florida.
In addition to artistic excellence, the mission of Asolo Rep is to be an outstanding teaching theatre, intensely focused on arts education to expand the horizons of our youth. With our foundation partners, we also bring a wide range of engaging education and outreach programs to students and adults. Through subsidized performances and educational outreach programs, your foundation will ensure that students from all economic backgrounds enjoy and benefit from involvement in the world of theatre.

Government Grants
The Asolo Repertory Theatre has prospered through a unique collaboration between public and private sectors. Partnerships forged over four decades have shaped an institution that provides outstanding cultural, educational and economic opportunities for our region and for communities beyond its borders. We give special thanks to our following partners.
Florida State University (FSU)
Since the Asolo Repertory Theatre's founding in 1959 by faculty from FSU, the two organizations have shared a fruitful and integral partnership both artistically and administratively, including the shared mission of operating the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training in Sarasota, a celebrated three-year professional actor-training program culminating in a Master of Fine Arts degree.
The State of Florida
Asolo Rep was designated the first State Theatre of Florida in 1965 and receives general program support from the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, Florida Council on Cultural Affairs.
County of Sarasota
Asolo Rep’s artistic programs are paid for in part by Sarasota County Tourist Development Tax Revenues through the Sarasota Board of County Commissioners.
