Asolo Rep Theatre Guild

Join the Guild and develop a deeper appreciation for repertory theatre while supporting educational opportunities for children in Bradenton and Sarasota. Asolo Rep Theatre Guild is a diverse group of people united by their passion for theatre, a commitment to its future in our community and a desire to support educational programs in our local schools. Asolo Rep Theatre Guild raises funds for Education & Outreach programs which develop present and future audiences.

Dues are $35.00 single/$50.00 couple on a current calendar year basis (January 1 to December 31).

Save the Date for the Asolo Repertory Theatre Guild`s Gala fundraiser.
The Raise a Curtain, Raise a Kid Gala will be held at Michael`s on East on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 6:30 pm. The evening will feature hors d’oeurves, cash bar, silent auction, superb dinner with choice of wines, a live auction and Sarasota favorite, David S. Howard, reading from Steve Cooper`s world premiere play Spiritual Bliss.

Help make it possible for young people, who might not otherwise be able to see live theatre, attend an Asolo Rep student matinee or buy a student pass. All proceeds will benefit Asolo Rep`s Access to the Arts program.

ACCESS TO THE ARTS
The Guild is the founding sponsor for Access to the Arts, an Asolo Rep Education & Outreach program that provides opportunities every year for thousands of students and teachers in Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties to study and enjoy live theatre and to attend special productions at greatly reduced rates.

THE GUILDER AWARD
Throughout the year, Guild members attend and critique local high school drama productions culminating in awarding the prestigious Guilder Award. This award is presented annually to an area high school for outstanding achievement, innovation and progress in their theatre program. 

PLAY READERS
The Guild Play Readers group meets monthly to present staged readings of plays, which are then enthusiastically discussed. Our members present readings for many community groups to promote Asolo Rep, raise funds for Access to the Arts, and share their love of theatre!

TOUR GUIDES
The Guild established and supports the Asolo RepTour Guides program. Each year, tour guides conduct hundreds of tours of the FSU Center for the Performing Arts, giving a backstage glimpse of the rehearsalhalls, costume shop, green room and more!
