Job Summary
The Human Resources Director oversees the planning, development, and execution of all human resource functions at Asolo Repertory Theatre. This role ensures compliance with employment laws, fosters a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and aligns all HR practices with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. The Director serves as a strategic partner to leadership, shaping policies and practices that advance Asolo Rep’s commitment to artistic excellence and organizational sustainability.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· Directly supervises and supports the Payroll Administrator.
· Provides guidance and leadership to staff and managers on all HR-related matters.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Serves as a strategic advisor to the leadership team on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management to ensure Asolo Rep remains an equitable and high-performing workplace.
· Oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, leave, employee relations, investigations, performance and talent management, employee recognition, engagement, occupational health and safety, training and development, and HRIS/payroll systems.
· Champions the organization’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging by embedding equitable practices into recruitment, retention, and workplace culture.
· Partners with senior leadership to align staffing, recruitment, and retention strategies with organizational goals and artistic vision, and develops best practices for hiring, onboarding, professional development, and offboarding.
· Designs, implements, and enforces HR policies, procedures, and training to ensure compliance and support a healthy organizational culture.
· Oversees the integrity, reporting, and utilization of HRIS data to inform strategic decisions and ensure accurate payroll, benefits, and compliance tracking.
· Serves as a key member of Asolo Rep’s collective bargaining negotiation team and ensures consistent interpretation and application of union contracts.
· Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, reviewing and updating policies and practices as needed.
· Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends and develops metrics and dashboards to assess HR effectiveness, turnover, engagement, and other workforce indicators.
· Monitors emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory developments in HR and employment law, advising leadership on potential impacts and opportunities for improvement.
· Prepares and collaborates on annual salary data and workforce planning for the fiscal budget.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

· SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification highly preferred.
Physical Requirements
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Position Summary:
We are seeking a Custodial Maintenance Technician to ensure Asolo Rep facilities are cleaned and sanitized and to assist in maintenance tasks as needed to ensure a comfortable and clean space for facility occupants, guests, and patrons experiencing company-owned facilities. Custodial Maintenance Technician is a non-exempt, full-time hourly position working in person five (5) days per week from Monday through Friday daytime with occasional nights and weekends. This position will require travel between each of the Asolo Rep campuses, which is Sarasota local and within 2-4 miles of each location.
Responsibilities:
- Clean, sanitize, and stock physical premises including restrooms, kitchens, and common work areas.
- Maintain janitorial supplies and equipment
- Assist the Facilities Manager with event and meeting set ups as needed
- Support venue rentals as directed by the Facilities Manager
- Assist the Facilities Manager with tasks as operationally necessary such as workspace organization, fire safety, health compliance and building security.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years working in commercial cleaning.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to unexpected schedule or task changes
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks and projects effectively.
- Ability to manage the physical requirements of the position including regularly required to lift 30 lbs., able to work seated or standing, push or pull, able to work in low positions, able to walk up and downstairs, and to climb ladders.

General Summary: As a member of the Artistic Administration Team (AMCOM), the Artistic Administrator will assist with daily and project-based activities that support the successful operation and growth of the company.

Essential Job Functions:
Administer the contracting process for union and non-union artists, contractors, and other functions essential to the production process; to include drafting, tracking, and archiving all contracts and related paperwork to ensure the process is consistently professional, timely, and accurate.
Facilitate artist onboarding, complete required union reporting, and assist in communication with artists or their representatives at the direction of the Associate General Manager.
Perform fiscal-management tasks including artistic expense tracking, forecasting, and participating in the departmental budgeting process.
Maintain internal space use calendar in collaboration with staff and serve as the team representative at weekly operations meetings.
Serve as the liaison to the Marketing Department; collecting artist biographies and headshots, referencing license agreements, and contractual terms to build a program reference sheet for each production.
Maintain appropriate spreadsheets and digital files for artist information for each season and distribute to department heads and staff as necessary.
Coordinate arrangements for staff and company social functions (examples but not limited to, Annual End of Season Party, Going Away Parties and First Rehearsal gatherings), ensuring gatherings achieve expectations and remain within budget.
Provide support for an active and involved Board of Directors including assisting with meeting set up and attend meetings as needed or assigned.
Support and assist Company Management as needed or assigned. Serve as back up on-call team member for Company Management when necessary.
Assist the General Manager and Associate General Manager with daily activities, such as but not limited to: correspondence, internal communications, payment requests, new work projects, Union reporting, scheduling, purchasing, rental paperwork, etc.

The Associate Director of Individual Giving at Asolo Repertory Theatre (Asolo Rep) is a senior frontline fundraiser responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual donors at all levels – Membership, Annual Fund, and Major Gifts – in support of Asolo Rep’s general operations, special projects, endowment, and fundraising events. The role carries a special emphasis on building and managing a robust Major Gifts pipeline. While a high degree of independence is expected, success in this role also requires genuine collaboration across the Development team and other departments. The Associate Director directly supervises the Major Gifts Officer and works in close partnership with the Individual Giving Manager, who oversees the Individual Giving Associate.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with Director of Development in developing and maintaining a comprehensive solicitation strategy for assigned portfolio, focusing on upgrading annual gifts and securing leadership gifts, while also cultivating a pipeline of new donors, with an emphasis on the Major Gifts pipeline;
- When appropriate, provide support and guidance to the Producing Artistic Director, Managing Director, Director of Development, Board Members, or senior leadership on cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation of current and prospective major donors;
- Oversee Major Gifts Officer in acquisition and retention of higher-level donors ($10,000 and above), managing successful stewardship, cultivation, and moves management strategies;
- Provide strategic oversight and partnership to the Individual Giving Manager, supporting Annual Fund growth across Membership and Annual Fund donor levels;
- Cultivate and steward major donors through personal visits, correspondence, and meaningful touchpoints throughout the year;
- Oversee accuracy of program book lists and other recognition;
- Draft, review, edit, and coordinate all Major Gifts communications, including solicitations and proposals, acknowledgement letters, and invitations;
- Utilize research resources for donor and prospect research;
- Prepare and monitor annual Major Gifts expense budgets and revenue projections;
- Collaborate with Special Events on donor engagement and stewardship opportunities.
- Regularly attend performances to welcome donors and advance donor relationships;
- Update and maintain bio data, contact information, call reports and moves management, and other interactions in Tessitura;
- Create new strategies to use performances, events, community programs, and donor benefits to encourage greater frequency of participation and new or increased support;
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Exceptional writing skills, with demonstrated ability to craft persuasive major gift proposals, donor narratives, and calls-to-action that inspire giving at the leadership level;
- Superior verbal communication, negotiation, and analytical skills;

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 5-7 years of successful frontline fundraising experience, preferably with comparable or larger-sized organizations ($10 million or more annual fundraising goal);
- Demonstrated accomplishments in managing donor portfolios, making personal solicitations, and achieving or exceeding personal and department fundraising goals is required;
- Prior experience with other areas of fundraising (planned giving, annual fund, institutional giving, etc.) and knowledge of and experience with the Gulf Coast-area philanthropic community and its leadership is a plus;
- Proficiency with CRMs like Raiser’s Edge or Tessitura;
- This role requires regular evening availability for donor cultivation events and performances, as well as weekend work during the season (November through June); scheduling is managed collaboratively with supervisor.
- Knowledge of or strong interest in theatre and the performing arts is also a plus.
